Interview we shot with Phoenix

I know, its been a while. I've been freaking busy! Here is a interview we shot with Phoenix. They are super soft spoken, and it was the morning. But I went to their show later that night and had a blast. It was a good experience, one of my favorite bands ever. I told them my favorite lines in their song Phoenix – Countdown (Sick for the Big Sun) "Do you remember when twenty-one years was old?" Best line ever in a song period.

So, I got the honor of interviewing one of my favorite bands this morning. Phoenix. They then left the interview (the 5) and went and performed on the Alexa Chung show. If you are not familiar, the Alexa Chung Show is basically TRL re-invented with the addition of a semi-hot British comedian host, web clips, and not so nerdy audiences? A little less Backstreet, a little more Phoenix. So here is some more Phoenix. Some live performances even.

Then, I'll let you move on to a little deeper cut with "Listomania". (From wiki) The album's first single is "Lisztomania". The term "Lisztomania" was coined by the German romantic literary figure Heinrich Heine to describe the massive public response to Franz Liszt's virtuosic piano performances. There were allegedly screaming women at these performances, and the audience was sometimes limited to standing room only.

Also notable on the album WOLFGANG AMADEUS PHOENIX is "Countdown (Sick For The Big Sun)" in which the lyrics ring, "Do you remember when twenty-one years was old?" Its this line that basically sold the whole album for me. These guys are digging a little
deeper than your average run of the mill rock band. Yes they are from Paris, Yes they sing in English, Yes they might
be trendy, but it is undeniable that these guys are kicking ass right now. And you should know it.
